Yep, the kitchen table project is finally complete. We now have a very nice place for our boo-tays to sit, rest and eat dinner. Whoop Whoop. If you do not remember here are the before shots....Here they are all lined up. This was pre-sand blasting fiasco. Once we realized sand blasting was a no-go. We moved them in to our garage and set them all up on our ping pong table which we covered with old blankets to keep it safe and paint -free. Talon loaded the paint spray gun with primer and gave them all a good coating.... Tal very geniously nailed small nails in to the bottom of the legs of each chair {allowing the chairs to not sit directly on the table}. This way paint was sprayed evenly on to each leg and we didn't have to worry about dripage or poor coverage on those chair feet. Here's one in all it's glory...These type of chairs look really pretty in white....But white wasn't what we were going for. We debated over chair color for a good week. We decided the green color we used in the base {read more about that here} would be way too much color in our not huge kitchen. In the last minute, we went with choclate brown to mimic the color of the stain on the table top. We really like the way they turned out. The chocolate brown matches the top so well and was an excellent alternative to staining all SIX chairs. I think they are as pretty as The Big Green Lantern itself. It was a risk going with three different colors {the stain, the green and then the chocolate brown}. But look how good the brown looks with that green goodness....
Super happy with it and super happy we have a place to sit for dinner.
