Take Two

SOOO...we took vacation numero dos last week. Not sure how two vacations in two weeks got planned but it happened and it was FUN. This time we went to Texas to visit my sister and her wonderful fam. China, our niece (who lives in Texas), flew to Alabama to visit the week before we left and rode back to Texas with us. Our nephew, Austin (who lives right up the street), also decided he wanted to make the trip. So, our car load of 4 packed up and headed out last Wednesday. Here are the kiddos not so excited about the 12 hour drive....We had a blast while we were there. The first day we relaxed and hung out by the pool. The second day/night was a rock star kind of evening. Here is my sister and I before the evening began...Don't we look alike?!?!Limo ride to Austin....First stop was The Draught House Pub where the boys got to drink all kinds of crazy beers. We went to dinner on Lake Travis. Afterwards, we went to The Comedy Club. Here's the whole gang....It was such a fun night. The next day we re-covered with a fun day in the pool. Here's the sweet boys having so much fun....
Thank you Angie and David for an A-Mazing vacation. You guys never disappoint. We love you both!!!

Va- Cay

Whoop Whoop. Talon and I got to go to the beach over Memorial Day. It was HOT and fabulous the entire time. Talon's Dad works as a fire fighter in Iraq. He was in town on R&R and decided to take the WHOLE fam to the beach. Thanks JoJo:) Talon and I hanging out on the beach.
Out to dinner with the familia...Talon's favorite part of the entire trip. We found the Hofbrau Beer Garden. That is a liter of German beer...Since Talon has a rather large fam to say the least...it is quite impressive that everyone was able to come. To celebrate the event we had family photos made on the beach....Wam. Bam. Talon's hugantious family....
It was a great long weekend.

In Need of a Vacay...

It was so pretty here for a good week or two. This week...not so much. It's been raining. Really makes me want a vacation. Tal and I have plans to go to Texas the first of June to visit these two amazing individuals (my sister and brother in law):

We cannot wait!! Last year we visited them around the same time (no vacations for us until after April due to Talon's busy season). Here's some photos of us in Texas last year:

Yep, I am wearing a camouflage cut off sleeve shirt. We went on a guided hog hunt at night. By far, one of the coolest things we have ever done. Here is a not so rednicky photo of my sister and I after dinner in Austin....

Visiting Mt. Rushmore. It was SUPER cold up there. And just to clear things up -- there is no lake behind Mt. Rushmore like there is in the move National Treasure. Liars. We also went to Colorado for almost two weeks over Christmas....

We skied, sled, played, drank lots of wine and had tons-o-fun.
