13.1

Whoop Whoop. I ran the Mercedes Half Marathon on Sunday! Despite it being incredibly cold it was a lot of fun!!
And I have the best husband for almost freezing to death so he could watch me cross the finish line!
My Mom also participated in the race...so lucky that she does this with me...
Here she is coming in to finish...p.s. she is 63....are you impressed yet?
 Post race photos....
Our sweet friends came to cheer me on....such a blessing to have them!!
I had a great time and I am super fired up for the next one!!

Happy Birthday Mom (Again)...

Friday night we got to celebrate my Mom's birthday again. You know...since there were terrible tornado's on the actual day of her birthday. Here we are eating Mexican and drinking gigantic margaritas.... Dylan and Creed celebrating their Nana's 30th birthday:) She LOVED her Kerug machine... Saturday morning I did a race with a bunch of our very close friends. That's Kathryne and I ready to run...Here's the crew. The little guy in the stroller is Sands...his Mommy (Kathryne) pushed him all 3 miles. We spent the rest of the weekend at the lake and it was oh so relaxing. I hope everyone else had a great weekend too. Please continue to pray for those affected by the tornadoes last week.

Run Baby Run

This weekend I completed my first half marathon. Whooo hooo. That crap was HARD. Half Marathon = No joke. I give huge props to those who do the full marathon. My Mom did it with me. She rocked it.
The race was at the Talladega Super Speedway. This place is huge. It was so cool to run on the track.
Almost there...mile 13.
13.1 miles later and I am FINALLY finished!

It was such a great experience and I would encourage everyone to do one! If only I wasn't SO sore today...
