Hi! Just wanted to show a snapshots of my makeup stuff. Makeups that I think turned into a mini collection which I was truly unaware of. Honestly, I didn't have any idea that I got these plenty of makeup cosmetics until I cleaned and organized my things yesterday. I even threw some away, some that I think are expired already. :(
In such a small amount of time I got all of these: (sigh! don't judge me, I'm just a victim)
Now, I'm hoping that I could minimize buying of make-ups(unless I really need it) because I know they're just going to be a waste. Like what most of what I have now, they're rarely used.
self-control is the key, but we all know it's hard, right? hahaha :)

Daily Skin Care Routine
I was asked via tagged questions here on blogger about what is my daily skin care routine, instead of answering the question only to her, I decided to post a blog about it. Admittedly, my skin isn't that good, I think I have mentioned it before about my allergies, which are usually visible on my face. I have a very sensitive skin that's why I always look for the word "hypoallergenic" every time I buy a product for my skin. As a matter of fact, I am not used and haven't accepted it yet. Moreover, it is the reason why am constantly looking for things that do not irritate my skin. I've been to a dermatologist but for an unknown reason, I just don't feel like using the creams, lotions, and etc. she gave me. Another weirdness in me.
The photo below are the products that I'm currently using which somehow work for me. They're all good and affordable which is why I like, but as I said I'm still looking until I find the best for me. Well except for the two that has a "fave" word indicated below, I think they're already the best.
1. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (fave!)
2. Nivea Visage Q10
3. St. Ives Apricot Scrub
4. The Body Shop Moisture White Serum
5. Dickinson's Witch Hazel Toner (fave!) - available at any Healthy Options store.
6. Maybelline B.B. cream
7. Celeteque Facial Moisturizer
8. Evian Facial Spray
The routine: I will wash my face with Cetaphil, then with St. Ives Scrub(which I use only every 2-3 days). then I will apply the Dickinson's toner using a cotton pad, after that I will also apply the Celeteque moisturizer, then a little bit of Nivea Q10 under my eye, followed by the Maybelline BB cream (for morning) or the The Body Shop Serum (for evening). I also spray the Evian facial Spray on my face from time to time to keep me refreshed and moisturized.
that's it. I like to keep it simple because I'm overmuch a lazy person. lol! :))

Bookmark
This is just a mababaw story, but it means a lot to me. hehehe :))
About a month ago, I was reading a book, entitled: "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" by Amy Chua. The book is about Amy Chua and her family's journey in two cultures, Chinese and Western. It is basically how the author raises her two talented daughters through the Chinese way. I think this is a must read.
Anywhoo, I'm not here to talk about the book, but I'm here to show you the bookmark my daughter gave to me. To tell you honestly, I rarely use bookmarks though I have a lot, especially the cute ones that I bought and think that they're too cute to be used. hahaha. Instead I would just use any paper I could find or sometimes I would just make a tiny fold on the upper corner. My daughter seemed to have observed it, so the next day I woke up, I saw my book (picture below) and immediately noticed the scratch paper I was using as a bookmark was replaced with a barbie tag. Then Sab (my daughter) came to me and said, "Mommy, that's yours already, please use that when you're reading a book, okay?" Awwww. :))

Paete and Panguil Experience
Yesterday, February 19, 2012, I had my very first field trip with my students, which also means my very first field trip not as a student, but as a teacher. Of course I was worried the whole time because I was thinking "what if something bad will happen to one of my students?" though they've signed a waiver, I still can't help being worried. But nonetheless, It was a fun-filled educational trip and thank God nothing bad happened. In fact, it turned the other way around, since because I am the teacher, I felt so secured and overwhelmed for treating me like a "VIP" hehehe. So anyway, Considering the subject I am teaching, which is Humanities, the trip was basically more about art.
Boarding time: 5:30 am
We left the school around 6:15 am.

Side note: Paete, was named after the tool used for carving wood known as the “paet,” the vernacular for chisel. It is one of the Philippines’ last remaining artistic strongholds in fact, it was declared the “Carving Capital of the Philippines” in 2005. We drove there for almost two hours via the zigzag but scenic road of Eastern Rizal, which our guide calls it the "back door". You can also pass through the long stretch of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). I tell you, if you're not in a hurry or if you have an ample of time it's better to pass through the SLEX because the Rizal route is literally "zigzagy". I don't usually get dizzy but because of the road I unfortunately did. Or better yet just take an anti-emetic medicine to prevent nausea and vomiting.
Men at work. Students at work. |
ME! |
Am I serious or just acting out? what do you think? :) |

Lucille, my co-teacher/friend, I invited her to join the trip, thanks for coming! :) |
Made by my student |
On the left side is the sample of the finished product. cool, right? |
just saw this one walking around. |
Ate, who's been working there for 9 years. in this photo, she's varnishing and doing some finishing touches. |
The finished product and ready to be delivered sculpture of St.Michael. |
Second stop: At the town center of Paete, where we watched a live ice-making sculpture and where we also experienced making animal sculptures out of paper mache. :)
look, our welcome banner. :) |
A big block of ice. Everybody's cheering for kuya. :) |
He's making it into a swan ice sculpture. can you see it already? |
Here's manang, demonstrating on how to make paper mache animals. |
Students having fun. |
Sample products. After this, let them dry then paint them with any color/design you like, then you're perfectly done! :) |
Picture with my students again before leaving to our next and last stop. :) |
Last stop: Panguil Eco Park, where the students(yep, only students because I wasn't ready, hehe!) enjoyed the trekking and water tubing adventure. It is really beautiful there, that I want to go back and hope to experienced those too.
you have to pass through a bridge. don't worry, not scary at all. |
another work of art: A man is making a butterfly-shaped decoration out of Cayetana wood. |
Bought this from him for only P70. How can a tiny piece of wood be turned into like this? so proud to be a Filipino. |
flowers given to me by the bus operators also made of Cayetana wood. |
look at the place. so pretty. |
I love nature. |
co-teachers, kokit and lucille. |
Students enjoying the moment! I was so jealous I wanted to swim. lol! |
you can also rent the place, they have a pavilion where you can celebrate/held any special occasion. |
bought this really cute bracelet for P200. :) |
so thankful for that wonderful experience and will definitely look forward for more fun adventures. :))
Hmmmm. Summer is just around the corner. :))
